World Sight Day 2023: (12 October)
World Sight Day 2023 12 october: The theme for this year’s World Sight Day is ‘Love Your Eyes at Work.’ The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment stated in a press release, On the World Sight Day 2023, we’ll call for attention to understanding the importance of eye safety in home, workplaces and urge leaders in the business,industries world to prioritize the eye health of workers everywhere.
World Sight Day, which celebrate at second Saturday of the october month the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) lunched its annual campaign day for eye safety and awareness. The campaign’s slogan, “Love your eyes at work,” emphasizes the importance of eye health at work.
Campaign initiatives included industry involvement, a joint study with the International Labor Organization (ILO) on eye health and the workplace, and ongoing government investment in eye health resources. The campaign also included discussions with business executives from around the world and the World Sight Day Photo Contest.
As a member of the organization, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is connecting with the network to guide and encourage appropriate organizations on how they can support eye’s health and safety standards in home, workplaces and across all industries. Meanwhile, a report written collaboratively by Deloitte, IAPB, and Bio-Tech Healthcare will be launched in Singapore on June 19th at the Global Action site live event
World Arthritis Day
Every year on 12 October, World Arthritis Day celebrate, often known as WAD, is marked as a day of international awareness. The purpose of WAD is to increase public awareness of the prevalence and effects of common musculoskeletal illnesses, often known as RMDs, among audiences worldwide. In its early years, Arthritis and Rheumatism International (ARI) founded WAD in 1996.

The theme of World Arthritis Day 2023 is “Living with RA for Life”. Living with a chronic disease like RMD can be difficult, but five of our inspiring RA sufferers and self-management advocates have fought back against their chronic diseases and taken their lives back.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya’s Death Anniversary
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya’s was an influential member of the socialist political movement and the campaign for Indian independence was the politician and activist Ram Manohar Lohia from India. His work was mostly focused on creating an especially Indian kind of socialism in order to fight injustice.
Ram ManohaLohia join Banaras Hindu University(BHU) where studied economics and political Science, before receiving a bachelor’s degree (1929) from the University of Calcutta and a doctorate (1932) from the University of Berlin.
In 1934, Lohia actively joined the Congress Socialist Party (CSP)
There strong opposition to the participation of Indians in World War-II on behalf of Great Britain (london) , they were arrested in 1939 (spend 18 months in jail) and again In 1942 contribute with the beginning of the Quit India Movement.
Lohia remained involved in Indian politics both before and after the country gained its independence in 1947. However, Lohia and other CSP members quit the Congress party in 1948 as a result of differences with Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on a number of topics. He joined the Praja Socialist Party in 1952.
